Is anyone else experiencing problems obtaining a signal on their Kardias

I have 2 Kardias - one as s backup

One is nearly new so should not be the battery

I have tried it with 2 separate iPhones and my husbands ipad

We have tried deleting the app and reinstalling

It starts to record and then keeps flashing to no signal

We have searched FAQ’s and just sent a support ticket to AliveCor but unlikely to get a reply at the weekend

Can anyone out there suggest something we have not tried

Ps - removed case from phone too

Feeling anxious with no kardia

Sandy

I could only suggest that if there is difficulty in obtaining a signal it is either poor contact - try using alcohol gel on your fingers - or too much local interference so try moving to a different location. More often than not it is the battery so try replacing it anyway - don’t assume.

Thank you for your reply but panic over

The battery in both Kardias had failed within a week

I had problems with the battery. I had to change it when the device first arrived and then again.

Their helpdesk sent me a replacement in case the Kardia was draining the battery and the new Kardia has been fine so far. I use it about once a month.

Did have problem with mine the other day but I put it flat on surface instead of holding in hands and then seemed fine.

I’ll mention something just for the record as it took me a little while to figure out. I have hearing aids that I control via my iPhone. Kardia doesn’t work until I cancel that connection.

I bought a Kardia when they first came out but now can't see the point of them. You know when you are having an episode of AF so what are you achieving by seeing a graphical representation of it? Why do you feel anxious without that endorsement?

Hi Sandy. I had problems for quite a while getting a reading from my Kardia and then I read, possibly on this forum, that it works better if your fingers are not too dry so now I lick them and it seems to work. I see someone above has suggested alcohol which is probably a more hygienic method!
