I was dreading my appointment for assessment. I thought I would be compared with younger heart patient all ready for action. But the two lovely nurses who assessed me couldn't have been kinder. They were very thorough. I managed the 6 minute walking with ease and they are happy for me to join in the next 8 week program. I felt as if I was walking on air when I left. Having good news really lifted my spirits. I'm so glad I went.!

The cardio rehab classes that I've attended have been brilliant, really enjoyable and useful. You can push your physical activity along and there will be others with similar heart issues so they understand. Enjoy!

Keep at it - there is a lot of information out there that reports that successfully completing this program helps your recovery and your life expectation a lot. I did this in my local gym 4 years ago to the music of 'petticoats and popsicles'. The exercise that still sticks in my mind is the simple, straightforward 'stand up to sit down and repeat'. All good fun and very productive of better health.

Thank you. I now have a lovely picture in my mind of a group going up and down to pop music😁 I am looking forward to it and just having the assessment on Friday helped as it put my mind at rest on how far I've come.
