My brother 73yrs old, recovering quad bypass, type 2 diabetic, with cognitive problems post CVA has support worker for 2 hours weekly, she just socialists with him, should she come now that he should self isolate, and travels by bus, a germ bucket in its own right.

In my opinion, if it’s not vital then she should stay away 😊

Too high a risk for me in that position - but nothing stopping remote calling - video conference, telephone call?

My cleaner who mostly does hoovering and dusting because of my asthma brings her little girl with her so I had to ask her not to come any more, felt really bad about it 😟

Oh dear, I am just thinking about telling my cleaner not to come too. She is like a family member.

You have no choice, you have no control over her contacts or what she potentially could bring into your home.

Social media has come into its own in these troubling times. It would be really useful if he has a laptop, phone etc where he can keep in contact with not just her, but you and the rest of the family. Best of luck.

This makes you realise how important it is to get to grips with technology - I have friends who can barely use a mobile phone 😟

True Butterfly, those people are at a disadvantage at this uncertain time, let’s hope they find the support they need.
