Yesterday it marked 5 years since I joined the AF group. I've been on the journey since late 2013, and I've looked back at my first of over 100 posts in that time.
It was full of worry on the waiting list for ablation number 1 (there have now been 5) and questions about my INR not coming into range. Coupled with the unhelpful and patronising attitude of my local anticoagulation clinic.
Thankfully, ever since, I've been blessed with the amazing support of some very calm and knowledgeable people on here and would like to think I'd offered some forms of help support and advice to people who "used to be me" years ago.
It's been a journey that isn't over, and probably won't ever be over, but thank you to the AF Association and everyone who's been there for me in that time.

It has been a privilege to follow your story over the past years. We know that you have overcome great difficulty but have been humbled by your tenacity, honesty and courage.
Hopefully you will continue to improve and stay on this site to help others. Your understanding and medical background are valuable.
How time flies. AF Association was formed in 2007 and I joined shortly afterwards I think we had about 345 members back then and most came to Patients Day at the NEC. Been a happy family since for some of us and we still meet up every year.
You have been a steady and exceptionally valuable contributor - not only one of the forum's assets but also, now and then, one of its worries.
As jennydog says, it has been fascinating to follow your ups and downs, battles, achievements and successes. Younger than most, you have dealt with more than many of us face - quite determined AF, attitude in the workplace and the demands of life with a young family.
You have been through a lot and you have stood firm, but you are young compared to a lot off us on here. I do believe your journey will end there is so much happening in the world of medicine at the moment and there is a lot of work being done with AF. They will cure AF of that I am sure so look forward to the future with your lovely family better days ahead.
Jedi, thank you (underlined but I don't know how to do it), I have followed your story since joining myself and in spite of your own considerable difficulties have found the time to help others.
And importantly, on many occasions some of your posts and replies have made me laugh out loud, so thank you for that too. It helps make the forum a very special place to visit.
Sorry, should add, and long may your good health continue!
