Ankle reconstruction : Good morning has... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Ankle reconstruction
Not had it personally, but I do work in Orthopaedics. Although we generally deal with spinal surgery/injuries and trauma admissions.
You'll probably have a period none weight bearing/partial weighbearing for 6-8 weeks post surgery to allow it to heal. So practise on the crutches!
I guess it depends what they are doing. I had ankle reconstruction surgery 3 years ago because I’d damaged the tendons and ligaments- one ligament tore off the bone. I was totally non weight bearing for 3 months and in a wheelchair. I then went to crutches. I had two casts - one for 2 weeks (then they took the stitches out) the other for 4 weeks, then a moon boot for 6 weeks (I still wasn’t allowed to put my foot on the floor), then an ankle brace for a month. When I had the casts on I had to inject myself with Clexane each night. I had 4 1/2 months off work then went back part time for a while. My surgery was the start of my heart rhythm problems - I was diagnosed with tachycardia the day after.
Oh nooooooo you really went through it didn’t you ,,,did they find ur heart problems in time for them to be able to help you x
Initially they thought the increased heart rate was probably caused by the anaesthetic and it would settle down. About 3 months later I was diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia. Since then I’ve been diagnosed with other arrhythmias - Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia, Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation. I’ve had a cardioversion and 4 ablations. I’m finally feeling better. Hopefully it stays that way.
Bloodyhell,,glad your on the mend 🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐💐💐💐
Thanks. I like your profile pic. I was born in Liverpool and my dad was a fan of LFC. We played “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at his funeral.
I was brought up on breck road right by the ground then we moved up to Huyton about 28 years ago,,I’m havin that at my funeral ❤️❤️
Hopefully your funeral won’t be for a long, long time. I was born in Dinas Lane Huyton at my grandparent’s house 😄
I’m on the bluey ,,,,,used to have a flat on dinas Lane ,,,tell u wat u wouldn’t recognise it now ,,they’ve built all over the green land xx
It’s a small world. I went and knocked on the door of the house I was born in about 30 years ago when we were in the UK on holidays. The owners were quite surprised that this girl from Australia was born in their front room. That was the last time I was in Huyton although I have been to Liverpool once since then.
Wow Australia I bet it’s amazing isn’t it xx
Snap! And now I cant hear the song without filling up with silly sentimental tears. I lived in Woolton for 22 years and went to Gateacre Comprehensive School. Happy days. X
