Just a quickie I'm never sure when I'm having this dreaded thing but sometimes I can get a feeling in my throat like a puff of air ? I can get this 4/5 times a day lasting less than a second my heart rate is normal it's a very strange sensation

It could be an ectopic beat. Ventricular ectopics might feel like a little 'lurch', so could possibly feel as you describe. It could also be an atrial ectopic. That would be my guess if your pulse feels otherwise regular.

An ectopic is an extra beat/early beat which is then followed by a slightly longer wait for the next normal beat. They are usually nothing to worry about. Flutter is a fast rate.

What do you think your pulse is in beats per minute when it happens?

I would say heart is at about 60/65 when happens but so quick then gone

I'm no expert, but I agree with Pat - it sounds like you are describing an ectopic beat.

I don't think that can be flutter. A single ectopic fits your description.
