Walking through treacle!

Hello everyone. Just to say thank you to all the people who have described the tiredness of taking Bisoprolol as walking through treacle! This is just how I feel at the end of a big shop at Tesco! And does anyone else find the treacle is especially thick on the stairs?! I am hoping to come off Bisoprolol soon, so can put away all the tins of Tate and Lyle. What a relief!

Best wishes to all , especially those about to have an Ablation. I had mine six weeks ago and was terrified, but it was fine. It really was. The worst bit was the waiting.

I feel like that. At work we have 2 flights of stairs. I have to take the lift up. Also walking my dogs I get slower and slower. Have had 2 cardioversion's back in af after a week. What's next. Fed up with it. Good luck x

Poor you. That sounds grim. Luckily I am retired, so dont have the work problem. Just keep going. I will be thinking of you.

All the best

Hi Liz, I hope you are doing well... Bisop is also Marmite as well as treacle having read many posts on here, you either hate it or have zero side effects like me. I have been on daily doses ranging from 2.5mg to 10mg and never once felt tired, for me it has been a godsend. I hope you continue to recover well and are able to stop your bisop soon as that can't be a nice feeling.

Yes my stairs were layered with the stuff, though less so since switching to Nebivolol. Big shop at Tesco’s 6 weeks after ablation? Home deliveries?

Absolutely, this is how I always described being on bisop.

I know that it took me 6 minutes longer to walk the same mile when I was on bisoprolol, I hope you do manage to rid yourself of this one

I must admit that my heart sinks when I read of those comming off Bisoprolol as well as other meds. I'm on them for the rest of my life. But it also lifts me up emotionally to hear of the receoveries many of you experience.

I couldn`t agree more Liz. I haven`t had an ablation (yet!) but have had a couple of CV`s. Worrying about these procedures is the worst part. For me FEAR is the bad bit.

These things are never as bad as you think. You worry about it and have sleepless nights. You`ll be Googling it and panicking. When it`s done and dusted you wonder why you made such a fuss ;-) I know I`m like that.

Best,

Paul

Thank you Paul for responding. You are absolutely right, fear is the worst bit of any new procedure, but I can honestly say, I had no pain at all, but must have had a lot of sedation, as my husband told me I was really spaced out afterwards! So I stayed the night, as I certainly couldn’t make it up our stairs, treacle or no treacle!

I am sleeping better and don't feel nearly so fatigued...cycled 15 flat miles on Saturday and walked or rather trudged 3 along a shingle cause way on Sunday!

Am on 1.25 per day....wonder how that measures up to 2 x 25mg Meto per day??

Not had cardio or ablation....am in persistent.
