Irregular heat rate but not high

I am diagnosed with PAF and narrow complex tachycardia . But lately but not always I don’t go into full SVT above 100 -160 my usual range is . I now have a range between 60 and 90 but jumping all over the place and feels like skipping beats ! Been awful today, I think it could be because I have an endoscopy yesterday under sedation?

But anyway when or at what stage do you take flecanide I have resisted using it ( been prescribed 100mg) they said to use it when in fast heart rhythm etc. But can you use it when it’s lower but jumping around?

So worried about side effects once taken and nervous of taking it 😩. Whose taken it ? Does it work ? How do you feel afterwards ? I’m still waiting for another app to discuss another ablation.

My AF has always been at a low heart rate it rarely goes above 100bpm and is often down in the 70 - 80 range but in AF and still feels like I have a chest full of frogs jumping up and down.

Taking flecainide to revert the rhythm back to normal sinus rhythm is about 90% successful for me and I see no reason if you’ve been told to do this by your doctor that you should not use it for the purpose they have advised.

Regarding how you feel after taking the extra dose it’s not particularly pleasant sometimes and it makes you feel very heavy. However it is preferable to AF and the feeling normally wears off within 24 hours. There is no need to feel nervous although I can understand why you might do so.

What ever you do you must only do what the doctor has told you and do not deviate from the instructions that you have been given.
