Had my first ablation a week ago, before that I was having episodes of flutters more or less every 24 hours using Flecinade to stop the episodes.
Since the procedure a week ago I have had flutters at 2, 3 and 2 day intervals i.e. 3 episodes in 7 days. Flecinade has stopped them quicker than it did pre procedure and I am taking two tablets rather than three.
Is the above description typical?
Can I reasonably expect things to get better as time passes?
Thank you

Yes quite normal. It will take three to six months for your heart to fully recover and lots can happen in that time. Please go to AF Association website and read our fact sheet on Recovering from Ablation where you will find lots of tips on things nobody told you.
Who knows? Be patient you have plenty of healing yet to do. DO please read the fact sheet . I would say I am surprised that you are not on flecainide full time for this first three months of healing.
To throw a spanner in the works, I was told in my individual case at least, that Flecanide had a tendency to exaxcerbate my flutter symptoms so it was either stopped or switched to Amiodrone to relieve me of symptoms.
