What are the best for back ache etc I know to avoid ibrufen but what other rubs have been used please

Finalgon cream is worth a go and if you can take the heat it provides without getting badly affected then try Finalgon Ointment as it is twice as strong .

It has the same ingredient as chilli peppers so think hot then double it.

But it does work for muscular strain in the lower back.

Use sparingly .

I would think so as its made in Germany by Boehringer Ingelheim

I use a similar cream called ZACIN that is only available only on prescription.

There are also Versatis 5% medicated plasters containing lidocaine also on prescription.

The best cream I had was Traxam but it changed manufacturers and has not been around for about three years despite the makers promising its imminent comeback.
