Cheap Cardioversion:)

Had tachycardia before going to drop off my doggie at doggie overnight care. When I was leaving I got stuck in the mud and I was so concentrated on getting out of the mud I went right out of tachycardia! Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes - but mine was caused by hitting a deep pothole at speed! Not recommended for car but seemed to help the heart!

An unintended valsalva manoeuvre perhaps?

sneezed violently 2 years ago and set off palpitations, slept for an hour and sinus reset! had nasty virus 12 months ago and started af again, been on bisoprolol, having 2nd cardio version in 4 weeks, yippee! Fingers crossed....😂😂

There was a post a few months ago when someone walked up several flights of steps a few times until exhausted/breathless, and they flipped. i usually try to keep well away from that stage. But when AF returns, I will try it, but make sure I am warmed up first by having a gentle walk of at least 15 minutes, and and have had a nice warm drink.

I've had the opposite a few years ago! I was at work with a HR of >160. I went into a presentation by my boss, which was extremely boring and nearly sent me off to sleep, but I walked out of it in NSR!!

A massive sneeze put me back into NSR, so sneezing can work both ways :o) Have tried making myself sneeze since then, when in AF, but haven't managed to cure myself again boo hoo.

Now living in the foothills of the Pyrenees, we have lots of cows with cowbells that are kept out of mischief with electric fences everywhere...can't tell you how tempting it is to cardiovert myself by grabbing a fence. I believe a man in Australia managed it when his A&E was busy!
