Afib 6 weeks post ablation

I am just over 6 weeks post my 3rd RF ablation, and had my first episode after the procedure. I know I am still in the blanking period, but feeling discouraged...really had hoped 3rd time would be the charm. Anyone beyond the blanking period who had episodes within this timeframe who could provide some perspective? Thank you!!!

I had my first ablation on November 12. 12 days later I had an episode. Everyone tells me not to worry as it was so early on. Haven’t had one since. Fingers crossed. I’m still on cardizem and metropolol. My episode lasted 5 hours.

Cannot give any guarantees Christine as I'm sure you understand and of course it gives you the eebie jeebies (medical term not commonly used) when episodes occur. Regardless of how many ablations you have had, the scar tissue has to have time to form so try to remain calm and positive if an episode occurs. I have been very lucky, I had my second 4 months ago and have not had any AF (yet) but hopefully others will be able to answer your question from personal experience....
