Don't think I'm in AF at night but heart rate is fast and I am very hot. Have put Kardia back onto my phone to check. Anyone else get this?

Could this be atrial flutter? Are you still taking Flecainide?

Ive never been on any meds save for a short time on Apixabahn. Thank you for your thoughts. Not sure how Atrial flutter feels.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your thread about Flecainide, which can induce atrial flutter.

Flutter is regular, usually fairly fast 100 to 150. Less commonly 75, and occasionally around 60 which will feel ike sinus rhythm.

Kardia will not report flutter but often shows typical “ sawtooth” p waves, particularly in Lead 2 recordings, rather than the usual Lead 1.

Thank you - I have arms, legs and all sorts out of the bed! Thank you for your thoughts. E

I sweat a lot more than I ever used to, regardless of being in AF or being stable.

Also, forgive me, could it be age related?

I agree age could be the issue....

Sweating at night for no obvious reason is something you should always report to your GP.

It might be a subconscious (unaware) anxiety attack. The subconscious mind (thoughts) is more active during the night. Try doing a short meditation before sleep, counting breaths and calming the mind. I find night time more of a problem than during the day. I know meditation (mindfulness) is a well known and talked about way of managing thoughts but it does work with time and practice.

Hello Elaine, I also get very hot at times and sweat at night sometimes. After my second ablation the sweating stopped then in November started again when I was back in AF again. I am still in AF and having problems with coming over hot and faint. Definitely not my age as much too old!

Hello Elaine I have problems with hot flashes at night,no temperature,I am new to A/FIB on nebivolol. I thought maybe it was just a feature of A/fib, since getting this I really dread nights ....

Yes coincidentally I have just replied to another post in that during the night I get very hot and heart starts to thump and jump (acrobats and frogs), so I keep getting up and washing my hands/wrists and face in cold water and sometimes that staves the Afib off - sometimes!!!
