Core body temperature

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this following an ablation. I had a cryoablation in 2017 and a RF one in October last year. Over the last two months I have had four episodes of AF lasting about six hours each time. However what I am experiencing after my latest ablation is a big increase in my core body temperature. I am having to have the window open at night, regardless of how cold it is outside, I have a very lightweight duvet on my bed and still experience increased body temperature.

Has this happened to any of you?

What does your doctor say about this? We often blame our AF/ hearts/ medication and forget to seek medical opinion.

I have my follow up appointment next Monday with the consultant so will definitely be asking him about it. It was just something I wondered if anyone else had experienced.

Whenever I have an overload of inflammation in my body I have a similar reaction. I also experience difficulty in maintaining my appropriate body temperature which is due to Autonomic Dysfunction so I am cold when ambient temperature is very warm and warm when the temperature is quite chilly.

Thank you for your reply. Apart from still having the occasional AF episodes, I am very well so it seems strange.

Don’t forget that ANS dysfunction causes arrythmias which can be just a symptom so I don’t find it at all strange.

It will be interesting to see what the consultant says about it on Monday
