What has 2018 taught me?

Even though you think you’re coping well with the stress in your life, your body may have other ideas.

Even though you think you’re leading a fairly healthy life, there’s room for improvement.

It’s okay to say no.

Life can, and in many cases, should be led at a slower pace.

Connecting daily with nature will make you feel better.

There’s always someone worse off than you so be thankful for what you have.

It’s important to have a great support network of family and friends but you can also get amazing support from people around the world on forums like this one - thank you!

I’d love to hear your reflections about what you have learnt this year or over your AF journey.

I have learned to keep my chin up when the going gets tough and to be thankful for every good day I have because the bad days may come back sometime. Also that there are more good folk on this planet than bad, if you watch the news you wouldn't think so but come on a forum like this and that will change your mind.... God bless and stay healthy!

Love your cartoons Karen. I think most people know my mantra--- Live every day as if it is your last as one day you will be right. Never go to bed angry is another.

Thanks Bob - the cartoon looks like me except I’m not quite as skinny or as young 😉

I share your sentiments ( and Bobs extra one...never go to bed angry !)

PS...or ' hangry' 😁

That walking away from a hard fought for career in teaching was a great idea but has left me a little adrift...

That true friends stay with you, while those who reveal themselves as mere aquaintances drift away...good!

That the little things are inportant

That if you look at the 8 of diamonds in a card pack, you can see the number8 in the middle!

That this forum is the best place for advice!

That I should not walk around in daily fear of a stroke...

To remember that Mum was 77 and in poor health when she had hers, dad was 86,Nanna was 89 and grandad was 66..but that was in the early 70s....so keep in perspective!

That bananas ripen green tomatoes if placed in a paper bag withthem!!

Have a great year all! Xxxx
