April, isn’t there a procedure you can have to sort your piles out? Have you looked into going down that route? Tied off or Cauterised perhaps? I’m sure there would be a surgical procedure to give you relief from the bleeding.

I hope you manage to sort it out as that doesn’t sound pleasant for you.

Hello and thank you for my 1st reply ! My doctor has said there are things I could have done but I also suffered with awful anxiety so a bit of a dilemma. Some times I go weeks and am fine then have a week or so of problems.Have only just got my head round afib was diagnosed a couple of years ago .Life can be so much fun at times.Note you take magnesium .I've been taking magnesium malate is yours better for a fib kind regards April

Incidentally, for me, taking magnesium citrate sorted any constipation and irregular bowel problems too. I don’t know if anything like that aggravates your piles, but taking a decent magnesium dose will definitely help there.

>5 years ago I experimented with all the different magnesium supplements and settled on citrate which has worked for me at 800mg daily.

Magnesium at the right dose is also very calming. I take mine all in one dose and can actually feel a wave of calmness within a few minutes of taking them.

When making a decision about anything you suffer intermittently, you tend to forget how painful or how much it affects your life when it’s not there. Only you will know whether it’s worth doing or not.

There are a few treatments and procedures available to hopefully relieve your discomfort. Having Afib and taking anticoagulants are not valid reasons to prevent any of the procedures. Talk to a qualified clinician for the facts, you really don't need to suffer for any longer than is necessary.
