Hi , I have been in NSR for 6 months now when I was switched to 50 mg o Flecanide 2 Xs a day along with 12 1/2 mg metopropol 2 Xs a day and Eliquis 5 mg 2 Xs a day. . I am traveling to Florida and am wondering if I should wear compression socks on the 3 hour flight.

Obviously from the 3 hour time you are not here in UK where flight socks to Florida would be a must I think. Since you are anticoagulated I think it would be optional for you but as I always say the only right answer is what it right for you.

I'm not a physician. I wear compression socks and would have no concern about flying while wearing them. My Eliquis dosage is the same as yours. Right now I'm trying to determine whether the gout I began developing within 6 months of using this med is due to the med. I never had gout in 78 years and gout is a documented side effect. Telling you this simply FYI as there are other side effects as well.

Thank you Wx Doc.

I am on Warfarin and wear them every trip I make to Sydney. No sweat. No alcohol in flight, keep well hydrated, understand the need to walk around the cabin and do ankle stretching exercises in flight. When I travel I always take copies of my current prescription and a letter from your GP confirming the condition that your medication is for can be useful .
