Hi everyone it’s 6 weeks since my cryoablation, no AF but ectopics and occasional pain when lying down, not sleeping which I find strange considering no AF. My mental state seems to have been effected,I don’t seem to want to go out still got no energy and breathless (I have other medical problems though ) so hopefully I will feel like going out soon,My daughter has pushed me to go to see the Drifters last seen them in 1973 👵😀so quite looking forward to that. This week end have a friends Disney themed birthday party,🤫 lol not sure about that😂. Hope everyone is reasonably healthy as keeping well, I’ll keep you posted x

I’m expect you will have read this:

Ectopics are quite normal and after my cryoablation it took a while before they eased. Try taking some deep breaths, exhaling slowly and drink lots of water. Any procedure can be unsettling, but ablations are quite a shock to the system so try not to worry. I know it can be difficult, particularly if you have other health issues to contend with. Enjoy the Drifter’s and let your hair down (a bit😀) but if possible, take some water with you. I’m 3 weeks post a RF ablation and like most folk, very sensitive to every blip but it will settle.....and still very early days for you too!

I’ve noticed the afib is coming back a little harder everyday, it’s been reallywarm the last few months and I drink a few bottles of water a day.

I’ve been noticing that if I take a small dose of Ativan .5mg when it starts and it seems to help a lot more than waiting for the episodes to end.

I’m almost at 3months since my cryoablation and I’m taking 1/3 of flecadine per the doctors orders... hope this is just withdrawals and not a failed ablation.

Does anyone else take a antivan? It really helps knock down the afib and all the other skipped beats and long pauses.

Thanks for the reply

It’s still too early to say DT. In my case I had a couple of short episodes 2 weeks after the cryoablation then nothing for 6 months but then a couple, possibly because the EP told me to stop taking daily Flecainide. I was then fine for around a year but then episodes restarted but I knew there was some difficulty in isolating one of my pulmonary veins. This is why I have just had a RF ablation to hopefully, tidy up some loose ends!

I have no knowledge or experience of antivan. Best wishes......

Hi DT I still take dronedarone tablets and don’t go back till December to see EP. So haven’t reduced any tablets yet.

I can remember feeling totally worn out for months after my second ablation, but take heart as that tiredness does eventually go and I hope you will soon start feeling better. If you don't then I would talk to your AF nurse and see what she has to say.

I'm envious of you going to see the Drifters and once I saw your post, I just had to go on to YouTube and listen to a lot of their songs. Hope you will enjoy their performance.

I was tired and breathless after my ablation, I thought I had a problem and went in and a angiogram everything was fine even to the point of having my angina medication stopped , I also changed my shift at work and don't start till 8am a change in medication a life style change has made all the difference.

I'm 13 months in and still feel good
