My ankles and feet get swollen if I do NOT take my diuretic. Perhaps see your GP about this as maybe need a different sort. I was originally on moduretic and found this brilliant, but for some reason my cardiologist said it was an old one and now on furosemide.
Good luck as I know it's uncomfortable with swollen feet and ankles.
The other thing is maybe (only GP could tell you as we are not doctors) you need to take them all the time not just as and when????
I've responded to swollen feet issue b4. I've had them, ocassionally get small amount if I forget my "meds." See this post.
