My medical vocabulary is expanding. I had a minor complication - phlebitis - inflammation in the vein in my arm where the cannula was so I am now on antibiotics.
My EP brought me in pictures to show me all the burns he did. He said he did an awful lot of burns and that it was no wonder I’d been struggling. He chuckled when I said “so it wasn’t all in my head then?” “Definitely not,” he said. He is hopeful that I may have my life back in a few months 🤞🏻
This evening, I had an attack of neuralgia. I had Shingles in April and have had nerve pain on and off since - it has now happened after each anaesthetic I’ve had this year and with each major AFib and flutter episode. The neuralgia gives me a major headache and sends my BP sky high too. I had a lie down with an ice pack on my head for a couple of hours and I’m feeling a bit brighter now.
Thank you all for the messages of support and well wishes. A sense of humour and a positive outlook helps us get through the tough days but sometimes I think “enough is enough” 🤪 Anyway, tomorrow is another day and another day closer to feeling better.
