Hi all, been pretty god for a while now but the last couple of days have had the odd "flutter". Only lasts a few seconds and is either a quick burst of beats or a couple of missed beats. Doc is reluctant to put me on anticoags as my risk is 0-1.
just looking for similar cases to discuss, thanks all!

A wise man once told me anything less than 30 seconds doesn't need a name but when you say "flutter" do you actually know it is atrial flutter. atrial fibrillation, tachycardia or are are you just saying you feel your heart for a few seconds?
Hi, thanks for responding. Its a fluttering sensation in the chest and my pulse gives either 4 or 5 rapid beats or misses a couple of beats. its occurring infrequently, maybe a couple of times one day then nothing the next.
Thanks again, it's all fairly new to me and the discomfort and feeling drained and a little lightheaded was a worry. Anxiety brings its own issues I guess!
With a history of atrial fibrillation, is this likely to be NSVT, rather than atrial flutter? Hopefully swansong75, having had his echo, is in the system and has had his Holter monitor.
I have the same issue, managed to get it captured on ECG by a very patient nurse.
It was just ectopics, i was convinced that it was flutter at the very least. I also have tachycardia a couple of times a day, usually noticed when at rest , its only a few seconds but feels horrible. I've captured this on my Kardia and got an analysis done. All part of life's rich tapestry
Sorry for the late reply. Other than feeling anxious I don't have any other symptoms.
If you are felling like that it may be worth getting checked out
Interesting choice of screen name for a site like this 🙂. How old are you? I only ask because your low Chads score and screen name seem a little incompatible.
Do you know your usual triggers for AF episodes? Have you discussed with your GP getting a referral to an electrophysiologist?
I'm 61, the swansong tag is just a led Zep reference as I'm a Zep obsessive! Can't pinpoint triggers as its a relatively new thing to me. I've got a echocardiogram tomorrow
