Does anyone know where I can obtain an AF card that I could carry or is there a disc that can be worn?

Thanks,

Mike

I have an anticoagulation card but I purchased a "dog tag" from E-bay which you can get inscribed with any personal details you wish.

ebay.co.uk/itm/Medical-Aler... £4.25 incl. postage

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for your prompt reply

Regards, Mike

As I've just written elsewhere I have medical conditions and medications written on my phone that can be accessed without unlocking it along with my emergency contacts. This only works if you know where to look on the main screen or have the presence of mind to check someone's phone. My anticoag alert card is in my wallet - but I only tend to have that if I'm out and about for more than a hour or so... I don't have it on school runs and on my way to/from work which statistically I'm more likely to be injured during than standing in a field in the Peak District or visiting family.

A friend of mine bought a cheap chain and one of those old "pound coin dispensers" my gran used to have that held £5 worth of coins you could slide out when needed (sorry if anyone has one!) - inside he has rolled up paper containing contact numbers and medications and medical conditions.

AF Association can provide such a card for inclusion in your wallet. Give the office a call or go on the website..

Hi Mike , these people are great..

theidbandco.com/Rubber-Medi...

I wear a silicone medical alert band with my name, condition and mediation printed inside and I wear it all the time , so much better than a bit of card that can get lost or forgotten.

I live alone and walk a lot and I know that if fall or am unable to speak the first place anyone will check is my wrist for a pulse and the band will be seen instantly .

They are cheap enough to have a spare so if one breaks you have another...

I have this one...

theidbandco.com/Deluxe-Engr...

they arrive very quickly too.
