Hi V,

A different country but also a weather-related itch. I tried to moisturise the areas and around with Vitamin E cream. It worked a magic for me.

Not much of a gamble. Best of luck

It could be the blood thinner your on. I have same issue and my Drsays its the Elliquis I am on.!!? allergy to it. I am looking into Having Watchman procedure or Larriet so I can come off of it..Itching is a side effect of bloodthinners and can indicate an allergy to it. Just saying FYI

Think I will mention it on Thursday when I go doctors Apparently my Bisoprolol can cause it to Beggers believe that it helps one thing and can cause something else Weather changing may also be a cause or my anxiety over meeting on Tuesday at work

I'm on Bisopralol and this last week my skin has been both itching and burning. I didn't get a rash anywhere else just on my side. I've felt like I've got fleas lol

I keep thinking about asking to swap but then it may not work because Bisoprolol is slowing my heart beat down ok

โ€ข in reply toVonnieruth

I can't even say it is doing a good job because it isn't but my GP doesn't seem that bothered

Vonnieruth profile image
Vonnieruthโ€ข in reply to

So you still getting fast pulse etc on it What dose you on

โ€ข in reply toVonnieruth

Yes my pulse is all over the place. I'm on 3.75mg and they've since added 125 Digoxin but it has made very little difference

As soon as I went on it my feet and ankles swelled and I was itching all over. I know it is the illiquid because had been on my other meds already with no problems. I started illiquid as a new med at that time!!

Dear Vonnie, no rash but three very long lasting red itchy spots. My daughter said heat lumps. but my warfarin nurse said I may have been ๐Ÿ‘Žbitten by something in the ๐ŸŒ™ with all the Windows open perhaps a spider.. I hated the very hot ๐Ÿ”ฅ weather, I really hope the temperature does ๐Ÿ‘Ž. not rise so high again, I wish I had a freezer I could sit in lol. I used Savlon by the way, Cheers Gladie. xx.

Of you Google side effects it will tell you if you develop a rash you should change med. Indication of a allergic reaction!! Daughters aren't always right lol!!

What one are you on

Jlaineโ€ข in reply toVonnieruth

Illiquid for now. Looking into having Harriet procedure or watchman to eliminate this med(blood thinners)

I have a little but shouldn't think it's much to worry about and some moisturiser is always a good idea as has been said by others. I just tend to get tired even though my heart is behaving well!

I don't sleep well these days Slightest thing disturbs me Then I wake muzzy headed

Me too! Sometimes it's better than others- I don't think this weather helps- hopefully we'll both be feeling better soon.

Are you on Apixaban or other blood meds

No, I didn't like the side effects so stopped taking them - I just take a flecainide if/when I have an episode. I think the tiredness is linked to an episode of shingles over a year ago!

Had several itchy and/or red bumpy spots. Possible spider bite. Another tiny black bug that fits through the screens has been around. My cats are curious and watch it but not exciting enough for them to hunt or eat. First year I've seen them. Live by wildlife preserve with many birds. No Idea what they are.....a tiny flea or nymph?

Vonnieruth profile image
Vonnieruthโ€ข in reply tohock217

There are many insects about that we have never seen before The climate is changing so much

Yes. Cooler now but has been high 90's and humid. Even my cats avoided the terrace. When I had the itchy bites, half a benadryl helped the itch and helped me become sleepy. Gone now and weather is cooler.

Yes. Living by a wildlife sanctuary, hope springs eternal that the birds and fish will clean the nearby bothers. Always been an idealist. I do have two indoor cats (except for venturing onto my screened in terrace with a few detached edges). Hope to be well enough, if briefly, for another safari. I don't fear dying one day but fear not being able to live until I die....Even if calmer in energy required. Between low energy, weakness etc I fear I cannot be on safari again. Showering outdoors to the sounds of night hunting animals is something this NYC gal wants one more time.. Strange to want nothing to do with graceful aging. Perhaps working with a frail population revealed how constrained, frustrating, and sad they were. Babbling while thinking before sleep. Wishing all of you health n happiness.

Must be lovely living like that Hock There's a saying I heard

Love the life you live Live the life you love.I think I haven't the inner strength or determination to actually do it but I think you will see your safari again

I hope so. Africa is changing and much unrest. I volunteered in Swaziland where life span is 35 due to TB and HIV. It looks like Switzerland....so beautiful as are the people. The company I travel with built a day orphanage, an organic garden and school. My job was teaching proper hand washing technique before feeding them. I watched a 2 yr old boy dying. Heart wrenching.

It's amazing how much strength is gained doing such things. As if our freed passions ignite our energy. If depression can make us sick, perhaps thrills and wonder can make us healthier. It feels that way....not tedious transport or full learning but exciting in the present experiences. Snorkeling has that wonder magic as well. I swear the Galapagos subtracts a year of life lived for every hour playing with a sea lion or swimming with a young turtle. I so hope for one more trip to each place.
