7day post ablation
Hi it will settle down you have to give it time for heart to heal plenty rest spoil yourself hope you will be ok soon
I'm sure that you will have read our fact sheet on recovering from ablation and will know that this sort of thing is very common and can go on for a few weeks/months so please do not worry. Try to rest as much as possible and do stay well hydrated.
How are you feeling now? Has your heart gone back into normal rhythm yet?
Jean
Definitely need to rest, I rested and I mean rested for a month, then unfortunately tore a calf muscle which made me rest for another month and then I badly sprained my ankle so that was another 4 weeks of resting, someone must have been telling me you need to rest and not had any AF since day 6 post op
Hi brizzy I hope I can say that after 3months I feel like you,I’m feeling positive about this, so are you off meds altogether now, thank you and well done to you x
It’s not unusual for episodes during the healing process. I had two episodes in the first week after ablation. It’s been 90 days since the procedure and other than what appear to be ectopic beats, I’ve been clear. I think we have become so attuned to the condition that we may feel every little twinge and “hiccup” that occurs. So relax, rest and get to enjoy life again. But like my EP said “Don’t t get too cocky!”
I was getting these on and off for 5 months post ablation. That was 2013 and still AF free. So stay positive and rest.
