Hi everyone the Ablation went ahead on Thursday, I had cryoablation freezing instead of heat, the EP said it went well but I still have to take Dronedrone,(apixaban for life) bisopolol for 3months, he explained about possible AF and ectopic beats while the heart is healing. 2 days in and I’m a bit sore, throat, groin, and chest.so rest it is and let the children look after me. That’s going to be fun.i have always been very independent 😀 in the meantime I will keep updating. Enjoy your day 😘

I am due to have an ablation within the next month and everything you have written is what I have been told. Total rest for a week and half rest for the next week. I think it is important not just to heal but to help keep everything working properly while it all settles in. I will be following your thread with interest so I know what to expect. Take good care of yourself.

Thank you very much, day 3 and feeling a bit tired, Groin healing well, throat much better and chest pain has eased. A tired headache this afternoon but I’m not taking anything for it. I took paracetamol in Hosp, and had trouble (constipated) I’ve got diverticulitis so that wasn’t nice. Very best wishes for your ablation xx
