Logging in.....

I’m sure this has been raised before, but when I go into the forum on my laptop I don’t have to log in because there is a “remember me” facility. When I use the iPad, I have to log in every time. Are there any tekkie experts out there who know if there is a way round this? Keep it simple coz I’m definitely stupid!!

I always use my iPad and stay logged in - but I can’t remember what I di - I’ll log out and see if I can see. Funnily enough it’s the other way around for me - probably because I hardly ever use my desk top these days.

Do you get the daily digests? I normally just hit one of the posts on the email and get straight through - but I do use cloud keychain - do you?

I stopped getting daily digests about 18 months ago and have to log into HUL every time. If I access my e mails from Gmail direct rather than my outlook then they are there. Strange things computers! There be dragons.

Yes - there is a small box below the log in detail box which says ‘keep me signed in’ - tick and all should be well.

If not - which version of IOS are you running? I sometimes use a really old device (passed on to Hubbie who now uses it) running IOS8 and notice there are a quite a few differences and often have trouble logging in and it seems to be that keychain has been updated - I guess for security. I know the older versions do run differently.

It’s 11.4 and there’s no “keep me signed in” option so I guess I’ll just have to keep investing 10 seconds or so to stay in touch with my friends.....😉

I am on an Android device and have found no problem with this but can anyone tell me which boxes to tick on the new conditions since the data laws changed in the UK so that I get one e-mail message a day from which I can read and then scroll down and read the other posts like I used to? At the moment I am getting separate messages in my mail box and it fills it up. I have tried various combinations of box ticking and either get no messages at all or too many! Any advice please? 😦

Dunno pattiannj, if I use the app on the iPhone it seems to stay logged in, but if I use safari I have to log in manually, but rarely use iPhone because its so fiddly!!
