Hi all here we are 2 weeks since ablation and fingers crossed everything seems to be going well, no AF or flutter since day 6, had a funny day yesterday very tired and uneasy but I'm still on the meds (flecinide and bisiprolol) which I hope I can reduce or even come off but not until I see my EP for my check up 3 months after the ablation.
Update: Hi all here we are 2 weeks... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Update
Seems you are progressing well, long may it continue
All sounds normal to me. Try not to over do things and do listen to your body when it tells you to slow down. Many people are able to stop rhythm control drugs after the three month period but do consider your options regarding anticoagulation and read all you can about the pros and cons. For many of us there are no cons!
Thanks for the update. Listen to your body and give it plenty of rest. I regret doing too much at the start of my third week, which was when I went into flutter. (now listed for cardioversion in 3 weeks)
My advice is to do as little as possible and don't frrl guilty about it. As others have said, the abscence of an external scar makes it easier to forget that your heart has recently undergone significant intervention.
Best wishes,
Jan
Sounding good, when I get mine done I'm definitely stopping in the apixiban as I thibk its a safety net I don't want taking away over 52 now.
Hi ! Well done on getting the ablation ! I am on the list for one ! How did you find the procedure ? Andy
A bit uncomfortable no pain as such but I wish I was a bit more out of it, as I was listening to everything they were saying, when I groaned a bit bit they would up the pain killers, certainty worth getting it done as I was in AF a lot and so far so good.
