Hello:
Now that I have added migraines to my daily repertoire, I was wondering if any of you had suggestions on reducing the pain or eliminating them.
Thanks for any help you can provide~

I only got the aura (sparkling lights and loss of vision) but I found glare set it off so I suggest dark glasses. I wear transition lenses at all times now and it is amazing how often they darken even indoors.
Hi dar2drm,
I have sffered from migraines most of my life. I have not found a way to prevent them, but sumatriptan is the quickest and best way to get rid of the debilitating pain. I am prescribed this from my gp. I think you can buy from a pharmacy, but they are expensive. Hope this helps. Marina.
I got strong ocular migraines for a few days after my ablation. Still get the occasional bad headache two weeks after surgery. I’m taking paracetamol and dihydrocodeine, which seem to keep the worst at bay.
Laying down and resting in a darkened room certainly helps too.
If you can find a chiropractor with extra training on nerves and is trained to adjust the top cervical vertebrae, C1, and the 10 bones in your head, you may find a solution. Chiropractors can do a lot for headaches. My wife has had success with this option.
Make sure you drink plenty of water too.
