Extreme dizziness

After a ridiculously fast episode of AF, I ended up in resus, and then back onto a ward a couple of weeks ago, due to acute heart failure.

I stopped taking Bisoprolol several months ago, because it dropped my heart rate down into the 30’s, but while I was in hospital they convinced me that it would be a good idea to start taking it again. (Only 1.25mg)

So far, my heart rate has only dropped into the 60’s so that’s ok, but this week I have been having really bad episodes of dizziness, mildly bad during the day, but really bad while I am lying in bed, feels like being on the waltzer at the fun fair. Of course it’s a bank holiday weekend, and I don’t want to go to the walk in centre. I suspect the Bisoprolol, has anyone else had anything similar?

So many people have these issues with Bisoprolol.

I was just thinking - what are the top most commonly asked posts and questions - has to Ablation and Bisoprolol.

I didn’t ge on with it at all and it exacerbated an underlying condition. I’m not a fan!

That sounds to me like Vertigo, which I suffer too, but I'm on Sotalol.

Does it seem as though the room is spinning/

Is it more than dizziness?

Most definitely, but as soon as I stand up, it’s not so bad.

I was taken off Sotalol after a few days of taking it - the room was spinning, I couldn’t stand up. Fine after. Just on flec as PIP & anti-coag.

I would consider Vertigo, mine when I have it is like dizziness but if I look down , woosh, the room spins. See your doc, and hope it gets better soon.

2.5 biso dropped my h/r to 40 ish which made me very lightheaded and 'zonked out.' This was during day, lying down wasn't an issue.1.25 was better for me but not sure if it did much for the AF.

Forgot to check that, yes it’s a bit on the low side for me, so could that be the cause? I have to say that it has been a bit better today, except if I turn my head to the left, which seems odd!
