Hello, I have a DDDR two lead pacemaker since one month. I was using a KardiaBand before the operation. On Alivecor they say a PM should not be used with the kardia.
On this site I read a comment by drdave that there is no problem using the KardiaBand with the pacemaker.
What should I believe? Can I continue to use the KardiaBand and are it’s readings accurate?
Also my Pm is configured for the low heart rate at 60. Even so I can see on my Apple warch that my heart rate goes often under 60 for a few seconds.. is that normal?
Thanks for the answers,
Christine

I think most pacemakers need a moment or two to kick into action - maybe you are overthinking it?
Hubbie has had PM for about 4-5 years and his HR does sometimes dip below 60 - but only for a moment or so. I would only be concerned if it stayed their for some time.
My Apple Watch picks up the low beat. I suppose the PM sets in and brings the beat up again.
Is it possible to upload a file here? Then I will upload a picture of my Health app with the heart rate.
Also, I read that: "A Study Suggests AliveCor KardiaBand for Apple Watch Can Be Used With AI Algorithm to Detect High Potassium". I'm very interested in knowing my potassium levels. That was the reason for buying the KardiaBand. When will it be able to detect potassium levels?
