Hello again all you lovely AFibbers out there. A quick update for you. Saw cardiologist this morning and having op on Thursday. Having it privately because we did not want to wait and risk having missed heart beats again. For the ones who were curious about the costs then 10k will cover everything. I will update after the op. Thank you all again so much. You got me though the last couple of days.

Good luck, I know the difference my Pacemaker made to me, you wont be sorry and of course living here in the UK I didn't have to pay however at 74 years old I have paid for it over the years through National Insurance collected from my pay each month since I was 15!

I had lazer ablation in 1992 and am presently on my 4th pacemaker. It's been a lifesaver. Pacemaker surgery is really pretty simple. I am paced 100% of the time. My heart is in continual atrial fib. I do ok. I am not able to do all that I'd like, but am living a full life. Best wishes to you. You'll do great!

Thank you got your positive comments. We are hospital tonight and have the procedure in morning. All a bit scary really but I’m trying very hard to be brave for my darling husband. Thanks again .

Thank you. In there now. Not. Good start heart went into tachycardia because beta blocker was stopped but he’s in theatre now. I’m a mess !!!!

But if a problem. Surgeon could get lead in vein so aborted and plan other side for tomorrow. My husband had a bad time while they were doing it so NOT a piece of cake , as people have said😞😂
