Watchman device op

Good Morning, it's 6.30am here in St Barts hospital and just waiting for the doctor to see me after my Watchman device was fitted yesterday. Must admit to last minute nerves and nearly backed out yesterday after seeing the consent form stating what could go wrong! Luckily I didn't and it all went well, no pain just very groggy. Just taking 75mg of aspirin for now and will stop after my 6wk TOE. Thanks to Irina and Sharon for their words of support and hope we all continue to do well. 😀xx Angie

Hi Ijan, thanks for your best wishes have you had this procedure too?

No, but I was due to have an ablation last week and waited, cannula in, gown on, for five hours before a nurse eventually came to tell me the procedure had been cancelled due to staff sickness. I've had plenty of time since to mull over the pros and cons while waiting for another ablation date.

Wow sorry to hear that, it's stressful enough waiting an op without having it cancelled at the last minute.

Thanks, just one of those things, but stressful none the less. I'm hoping for another date sO I can start to get organised again.

Glad it all went well for you! In 6 weeks time 1 tablet less, got to be worth something then!!! When are you going home? If it's today, then let the healing begin.

Many hugs and best wishes, from Sharon
