Morning, I had my pacemaker fitted 4 weeks ago, thankfully had no palpitations or flutters. Went to the pacing clinic on Wednesday, technician said af override pacemaker a few times, I felt nothing. Also said I should be at least 96 % and it was only 92% spoke to doctor, said leave till I see EP next month. Since Wednesday I have two uncomfortable. . nights with old af problems. Do you think the testing has upset the heart or just coincidence.? Disappointed as I felt I was doing so well. He said he didn’t change the rate, which is 70. Anyone had this problem ? Thanks Val

After first pacemaker check
Twice, when adjusting or testing my pacemaker, something was tweaked and caused me to experience all of the worst symptoms that I had been experiencing prior to the installation of the pacemaker. The first event lasted almost half an hour. I remember that I was laying on a stretcher when I felt an intense sharp pain in the left upper side of my chest that caused me to instantly sit bolt upright. Believe it or not, I felt 100% for the first time in a long time. When they came to get me with a wheel chair, I jumped off the stretcher and told them I would race them back to the office. I felt good. Now, I know that my heart had self converted.
The second time, the pacemaker was being adjusted from 50 BPM to 60 BPM when I experienced much the same as the first episode. When the technician didn't know what to do, I took a spray of nitro and, for some reason, my heart converted again.
