Colanor?

After my ablation yesterday they want me to go on a medication called Colanor, or something of the sort...however when i looked up the price it is unreasonable. Is anyone else taking this medication? I am curious if they found coupons or something to help the price go down..right now it says 400 dollars for a month supply i can't afford that whatsoever and of course there is no generic version as it is a newer drug.

I'm sorry to hear you have to pay- I don't know this drug but maybe there is a cheaper alternative the doctors can suggest??

I think it's Corlanor? I'm sure there will be alternatives- also look up its effects so you can discuss with your doctors

i called my dr and they gave me a discount card good for a year, it's nice to know I didn't have to worry between paying rent and getting my medication now.

Hi Nichr. I just checked several sites online (I am in the US) and found this info on corlanor.com. They have a copay card that allows you to pay just a $20.00 copay monthly using a Corlanor copay card. I would suggest checking this site to find the details re obtaining this card, qualifications, etc. I would imagine your doctor would have to provide documentation. Hope this gives you a place to start re affording and obtaining the med. It is a drug that supposedly decreases worsening heart failure for certain patients. But there are other drugs that do this. The website stated that the patient's risk of developing worsening heart failure is decreased about 18%. I would really want a good explanation from my doc why this particularly costly drug is preferable or needed as opposed to another similar. It seems like a lot of money for lowering my risk by 18%. Just my opinion. But I believe you deserve a lot of answers before paying this much money for a new drug. Hope I've helped. Good luck and take care. irina1975

I got that card, it helps alot plus it lasts for a year which is nice. The dr told me since I am young that beta blockers and other channel blockers aren't a benefit due to the side effects they have given me.

Very happy you got the card. Take care. irina1975
