Tired all the time.

The most annoying thing I find is that I am tired almost all the time! I also feel slightly unwell but am unable to figure out exactly why. I have AF and other cardio vascular issues, joint pain and a couple of other issues. No drama no crisis just blah! I can not be the only one!

Do you think your medication could be part of the reason you feel unwell? Obviously continue with it, until you have talked to your GP.

Have you had a full set of blood tests recently?

Yes I am on the best meds for my "conditions". I have been told this is as good as I get, they can do another angiograph but I have had so many they would rather wait until they have no choice! Its not as bad as that sounds and I cope.

Have you had a blood test to check your thyroid function?

Not recently but its a progression of things really. The docs are on top of things and its partly my meds which I am told I can not change!

I was blaming my AF and medication for feeling so tired, but a blood test showed it was my thyroid. Feel so much better now on thyroid medication.

Its good that you are feeling better. I was checked out for not so long ago in my case its a mix of meds that cant be changed and the ailments I suffer from. Partly genetic and partly pratting about when young and immortal!

I feel the same, svt, palpitations, joint pain, and bladder discomfort. Never feel fully well but keep active. I,m awaiting diagnosis of a fib, seeing the electrophysiologist next tuesday

With me its a combo of things, joint pain is weight and too much pratting about in my youth! The rest is a combo of meds and ailments. AF is just another step on the way!

My sister says "what cant be changed must be endured" but thats bleak! I think she wants to appear a bit like Queen Victoria! I get by by ignoring as much as I can that I cant change and concentrate on what I can. I save my energy for things I want to do, have flexible plans, and enjoy as much as possible the slightly smaller world I know occupy!

If you take Bisoprolol that could explain the tiredness. Your heart rate needs to be about 60 to 100. If it is 50 or below, perhaps as a result of a betablocker, that could explain it. A lower dose would help.

Alternataively it may be about how/when you take your medication eg before eating/during a meal/after eating. If the result is that you feel slightly sick, then that will leave you feeling off-colour in my experience. So you could read the advice leaflets, and adjust when you take them, and what with.

I am at max doses for 4 types of meds that affect the ticker but are needed its said to control things. Then add pain meds and its a wonder I am awake! Amlodipine, Bisoprol Fumerate, Ramapril, Isorbide mononitrate add a touch of tramadol and shake!

Ha ha, oh no, you’re not alone. With AF I am tired, lethargic, and mentally fogged all the time even though I sleep rather well. I arise feeling OK, but within two hours—bam—AF kicks in and another day of feeling crappy begins. (PS: Multaq is a lousy AF med.)

Its good to know that you are not alone. Sometimes I wonder if its my imagination! Then look at some of my pills and know its not!

I,m fine when I get up but a couple hours later a weary tired feeling descends, obviously a lot of us get this. I plough through it the best I can, I get good days though!

Yes, I'm exactly the same and also I seem to have no impetus to push myself. I constantly fall asleep even when I've had a reasonable night. I usually wake in AF and it takes me so long to get back to reasonably 'normal'.

I never have dramatic symptoms even in angina so never know whats happening at any one time! My throttle is stuck between idle and a slow crawl so I am unsure what supposedly "normal" is anyway and because my symptoms aint dramatic at any time no one lets me do "too much"! Are you as fed up as me with the advice "take it easy"?

I am indeed - I'm not very good dealing with sympathy although I feel rotten that I'm not. People are trying to be kind after all.
