So I spent another afternoon in A&E yesterday that's the third visit in as many weeks one was an overnight stay to keep an eye on my heart which was beating from 39bmp to 120bmp, it now seems that I have have gone into permanent AF and they are jiggling my meds to keep my heart rate down. 5mg of bisoprolol a day and 200mg of flecanide
I have been on the waiting list for ablation at Bristol now for 11 months I see the cardiologist next month so with all that's going on they can bump me up the list to get it done

Do not act like a brave warrior, make sure that they know how badly the AF is impacting on your life. In reality, 3 visits to A&E should tell them that!
Would you be able to take a cancellation and have your ablation at short notice? If so, tell them.
That's what i hope jenny, its recorded so it might help me get the op sooner than later, being retired I am available for the op whenever they give me the nod, the goods news is I'm not in afib today so it's not permanent
I was on the waiting list for approx 18 months while in persistent AFlutter. Don't forget there are a heap of other sufferers that are in the same situation
I'm not far from you (Bath) and my Cardiologist said he could get me an ablation done at Bristol in less than three months. Admittedly that was this time last year but I'm surprised it has changed so much. I've decided against ablation and I'm just on 1.25 mg of Bisoprolol which seems to control it so I'm a lucky bunny but I do sympathise with all of you who have waited for ages for a procedure. Good luck Brizzy!
Yes i saw the actual surgeon last March, he said he would put me on his list and quoted 3 to 5 months, but the goods news is I'm not in afib today so its not permanent AF
