Saw Dr Kirubakaran today at QA hospital. Eat your heart out George Clooney, am off with another. What a lovely man. He has agreed I can come off Nebivolol and have Flecanide to use as and when but only after having waited two hours.
I also take Felodipine and Pradaxa to control my Afib.
Let's hope the new regime works for you, certainly did for me, and it's so much better than a daily dose of betablocker. Did he suggest that you weaned yourself off the Nebivolol or just stop. Hope it works for you, please keep us posted.......

Only on 2.5 of Nebivolol so can stop once I have the Flecanide
The Pradaxa is an anticoagulant which reduces your risk of a stroke. It doesnt actually affect the AF. Felodipine is for high blood pressure. Flecainide is very frequently used as a "pill in the pocket". Make sure that when you take it you only take 100mg, and no more.
I am a medical statistician who has worked extensively in the AF field with cardiologists - don't know if that qualifies me or not.
I was passing on the advice from my cardiologist who provided me with a cautionary tale of a patient of his who was thought to have taken 2 x 100mg tablets of Flecainide rather than the one taket prescribed, and died shortly afterwards.
This was just a one-off case in one of my cardiologist's patients. It dosn't prove anything, but certainly makes me cautous when taking flecainide! Possibly a couple of hours later is safer, it would give lower peak plasma concentrations.
Will wait and see whatI am told. But thank you so much for your interest

Flecainide finally arrived, 100 mg if still having episode after two hours, stopped Nebivolol yesterday and still here to tell tale.
