As we rarely have space for dessert after our Christmas dinner, the Xmas Pudd can sit in the cupboard, uneaten for months,or longer!
So.......this year I have ordered a ready made SHERRY TRIFLE......whoops.........brain did not engage obviously!!
If anyone is on here...should I or shouldn't I? Can't be THAT alcoholic surely.....??
Happy Christmas to all my "friends" on here too!!

Merry Christmas! I'm sure it's not that alcoholic - you'll probably find if it's ready made that there's more 'sherry flavour' than actual sherry in there... Wishing you and everyone here an AF-free Christmas and happy, healthy New Year.
Enjoy your trifle Wightbaby I am going to be a good girl and stick to my new lifestyle eating over Christmas. Having worked hard to lose a stone I am not about to put it back on again in spite of the temptations including home made trifle.
I only have to imagine a bad episode of P-AF that won't go away and that quickly expels any temptation I might be experiencing .
I can understand your reticence.........I am in "persistent" now, and don't have episodes as such anymore......just an irregular heartbeat ALL the time, that can make me breathless and very tired. Its easier to live with, than the awful episodes though!!!
Hi WB! Tuck in and enjoy and have a great Christmas- can’t believe a supermarket sherry trifle has much measurable alcohol in it. Not had a drink myself for ages - nothing to do with AF which has lain low for a long time but I’m on hormone therapy until April - however. a glass of wine with Christmas dinner is under serious consideration!😀
Not heard from you for ages....hope you are keeping well?
Think you knew I retired from St Mary's.....didn't you? I seem to felt better now I am not sitting at a computer all day, and no work stress, of course! Still sorting stuff for the Hospice though, but I enjoy that.
Merry Christmas and happy new year........Hope the therapy goes well
Thanks Lin and the same to you. Sorry not been on here much. Had radiotherapy Aug/September over at QA- seems to have done the trick - onocology team and MacMillan nurses excellent.
Yes I knew you had retired and hope you are enjoying it.
May you have a great, enjoyable - and healthy time. Let us know the results of your dilemma - I would go for the trifle, but my AF isn't too bad at present . . .
