Hi all I’m on apixabam 2xdaily 2 point 5 mgs I have sinusitis can I take antibiotics for it

Speak to your pharmacist but I am not aware of any problems with apixaban unlike warfarin which is affected by antibiotics.

Thanks I’ve looked on line and some sites say it can cause bleeding 🙀so I will check pharmacy

I take apixaban and my GP prescribed antibiotics. I didn't have any problems.

It depends on which Antibiotics- I looked into this when I needed them and one was fine but Clarythromycin was a definite NO NO!! Look at the info sheet with the tablets but also ask the pharmacist to look up whatever you are prescribed when you take the prescription in

Not medically trained, but I was told by my dentist that amoxycillin was OK but no idea if it would help with sinusitus....always best to check with your pharmacist.....
