Persistant Cough

I was recently in hospital after I first found out I have AF.

I also contracted Influenza A just prior to leaving.

I don't know if this cough is from the Influenza or the meds for my AF.

Any ideas?

To an ARB?

No these are Australian brands.

Thanks for your info Goldie.

I agree that it is probably the perindopril causing the cough. All of the "pril" meds did that to me , now on candestartan which suits me much better

Hi I am on Ramipril one of the prils, common side effect of that is a dry cough. Been on it for some time now and now getting me down a bit. I am going to try and get it changed.

Just to say a cough can be caused by the ace 's but a cough older than 3 wks should be checked out, now I read some research on iron supplements and put my husband on 10 mgs every other day you can get this low dose from holland and Barrett ( I did get 5 mgs once but can't find it now) and it's just plain old iron now vitamins with it, although good to have some vit c as that increase then absorbsion of iron, somhe takes it with orange juice and it works, the cough is almost gone, good news for him and me!
