Hello All

I am a 61 year old male with increasingly regular episodes of AF.

I have a cardiac history stretching back 50 plus years to my first open heart surgery aged 11 to correct a congenital heart defect. I had a coartation of the aorta repair.

Now after many other twists and turns I have a stent, a prosthetic mitral valve and single CABG to add to the original operation.

Two ablutions have not been successful in returning me to NSR. I am on Amiodarone on a pretty much permenant basis now.

I hope to follow your posts for a while and make useful contributions when I feel I have something positive to add.

Also born with an congenital heart defect, and my Tetralogy of Fallot repair when I was 5 years old. Afib/AF since I was 23/24 but now afib free for 3 years after many cardioversions and a Ablation. I'm 46 now.

I sometimes get ectopic heartbeats but live a full life.

Must say you have a very "interesting" heart story, but you are a survivor!
