My friend takes it, no problems.
Thankyou for your response. Really appreciated. Xx
Hi no problems at all,my instructors are to take in the morning! I have taken this for the past year.
I did not have a god experience with this drug. Affected my memory, thought I was loosing it, GP took me off them. There was a post a few days ago asking the same question, a few replies on there.
Cassie. I took my first one last night. It seems ok will let you know in a few days. Thankyou for your input much appreciated. Rob xx
I thought you were supposed to take digoxin on a morning ???
I took it for 3 months no problem. Stopped it to make way for amiodorone, that's a whole different story!!
I couldn't take amiodorone, drove me up the walls !!!!!!! digoxin was brilliant
Wow that's interesting how everyone is so different. Glad you have your Meds sorted out for you. There's nothing like feeling exhausted with Meds.
This is the forth drug I've been put on. I'm hoping it's going to work.
I'm in AF permanently now so I just have to get a drug that keeps my pulse around 80 no 130 to 140 as it has been.
I'm hoping this works.
Cheers. Rob xxx
Hi Rob, i'm in AF aswell.... I was ordered by the cardiologist to take the digoxin on a morning as it is there to slow the heart down and strengthen it at the same time, he said if I take it before bed its just going to make me sleep better lol, where as if I take on the morning when active for the day it will slow things down and less stress on the ticker I started off on 2 x 250mg twice a day for 2 days then 1 a day 250mg there afterwards, I was a bit head fuzzy for 2-3 days but afterwards all ok and been on them 4 months now, I usually take mine after my breakfeast.
I'm going to take them in the morning from now on it makes sense. My Cardiologist never mentioned at what point to take them.
I take 250 mcg micrograms. Is that what you on Gix ?????
But mg. just checking ??
Can u let me know thankyou.
How are you coping with Permanent AF. I'm finding it ok. I haven't had an Ablation or a cardio version.
ThisDigoxin may be the answer I feel better on them. A lot less Anxious not so Racy is my Heart ? My pulse is on 80 now not 140. So that's great for me.
Hear from you soon.
Rob xx
Hi Rob, yes I take 250mcg living with AF is something I've just had to get used to, but its not as bad as it was
i'm waiting for cardio version as I had an op and it made my AF worse than what it was ,so i'll keep you posted on that .
when I started digoxin I knew I was still in AF but felt 100% better with it just after 2 weeks remember digoxin slows heart rate and strengthens heart at the same time.
Do you take any other meds ???
Nigel
Hi Nigel, hey it's great to speak to someone with the same problem. Hey I was told by a Dentist is you need work done make sure when they numb your gums with aenasethic make sure you do not have Adrenaline in it. It's the same with a General make sure there's no Adrenaline in it. That's probably why it affected your Af. Understandable ah.
I used to be on Metapropolol & Flecanide as well. Neither were helping so now he's put me on Digoxin & I feel heaps better now. I started taking this tablet in the morning starting from today.
I'm also on a blood thinner Xarelto.
Do you know what I feel like I can live with Af I feel so much better on Digoxin.
I'm supposed to have an Ablation but I keep putting it off also a Cardio Version.
With feeling so good I don't think I will worry.
I also read Ablations work but it breaks out in other spots, People have had it don 4 Times, I don't think I want to go down that road.
What do you think, would love to get your thoughts Nigel.
Cheers. Rob xx
Hi Rob, yep its good to speak to people in the same situation, your right about the dentists and adrenaline, I always ask for an extra shot or 2 as the numbness doesn't work properly, the adrenalin makes the anaestetic stay round the tooth for longer and hence numb it more
I am on 20mcg Xarelto 10mcg Bisoporol 10mcg Ramipiril and the 250mcg Digoxin
so I rattle a bit during the day lol
To be honest I've looked up Ablation and decided that would only be a last option for me as from what I know does take a few goes just to get a decent result, I wouldn't even have the Cardioversion but as we know due to having my op its put my AF out and stopped me having something done what I needed doing medically so i'm really really gutted about it at the moment !!!!!!
Do you go on Facebook ???
