Remember to get your kidney function checked annually. Rejoice that you are free from NRI testing.

I've been taking it for over 3 years without problems.

Avoid aspirin and any other NSAID's such as Ibuprofen, anything with St John's Wort and grapefruit. Take your tablet as close to every 12 hours as you can.

agree with al the above- there are some antibiotics- clarythromycin for example, that shouldn't be taken with it. I find GPs don't always know so it's best to ask the pharmacist to check interactions for you when taking any meds.

I took amoxycillin recently and all was OK

Apixaban has been great for me !!

Agree with everything others have said.....only thing to add is, as I understand it, grapefruit and grapefruit juice should be avoided.......

I take apixaban and aspirin as recommended by my cardiologist, take same time every day, not had any issues, may change after my ablation.

In Tenerife and my Dr here said to take a probiotic if on antibiotics. Read the leaflet that comes with your medication and don't forget to take it as prescribed! Brilliant medication.

Hi, Maybe I am just lucky, but I don't seem to have any reaction to the drugs I am on, not that I am aware of anyway. I had an ablation in November, hasn't really worked but could be because I haven't quite stuck to the 'no drinking' rule! When I don't drink I am fine. Apixaban, I believe, so long as you take it regularly shouldn't present problems. Couldn't live without my broccoli and spinach so big no to warfarin!!
