How interesting - the exact opposite happened to me - I was always aware of every heartbeat, I heard and felt them. I awoke from sedation and couldn't hear or feel anything - for a few moment I thought I died!

We AF'ers are super sensitive to any change in heartbeat so I would imagine it will settle down but if you are concerned ring the number on your discharge papers and speak to your Arrythmia nurse.

Hi there. It usually settles down, so try to relax which I know is not so easy to do. I think we all feel more anxious when it's to do with the heart.

Hi bushy, I had my 3rd ablation last Friday and am the same, can hear the whooshing in my ears all the time especially at night. This happened before but did settle somewhat after a while. Good luck with your outcome.
