Hello all. Having above on Monday and was pleasantly surprised to read that I need to spend time beforehand choosing my playlist for during the procedure. How civilised!

I've had two at Papworth and never been offered the music at all. All I ever heard was the instructions to hold by breath for 10 -15 seconds during the scan.

Hidden , just trying to put a positive, lighthearted spin on the experience.

Records? Showing your age there. Last time I saw one of those it was heated and mounded into a plant pot. In the early 60s I would guess.

I suggest that the Flight of the Bumblebee or Wagner's Ride of the Valkyrie may not be helpful.

My best advice is to ensure that you have an empty bladder at the start because it takes ages. I found ear plugs better than ear defenders. Forget the music. At least it is painless.

I opted for opera music, took them ages to find it, not often asked for. Could not really hear it. Neaarly nodded off at the end of scan even with all the clunks, clanks and noises.
