February 2nd can't come quick enough ... I have been a in and out af daily with some terrible episodes on acassions resulting in sleepless nights pain, breathlessness, loss of work and generally messing my life up, been up since 4am waiting for this episode to pass. Bring it on

Awful isn't it, I sympathise. Hope things settle for you to enjoy the festive season then roll on Feb 2nd. It will be good to get specialist input and a treatment plan. Best wishes and hope things settle soon.

Hi I was reading your other posts. Have you been waiting over 2 months so far to see EP and got 2 more to wait? If so can you call the hospital switchboard and ask to speak to secretary of the EP you will see - and also check he is an EP? Then ask secretary for any cancellations. Ring up all the time until you get bumped up queue. NHS constitution is that you begin treatment within 18 weeks. You may need investigation such as echo and 72 HR monitoring ahead of any treatment- all this takes weeks to sort. You hve right to have appointment sooner. My situation was that I only just git treatment within 18 weeks because I rang and asked for monitor cancellation and then rang secretary asking for EP appointment as soon as cancellation appointment had been given.

It's a pain in the neck isn't it.

Why don't you try phoning your EP's secretary at the hospital, and explain what a bad time you are having, you never know they may bring your appointment forward. A lot of their appointment will be just routine annual assessments and not urgent and they may have a cancellation.

Hi

I actually started with the problem at Easter but was diagnosed in September after having scan and monitor, I have phoned the hospital ( uhcw ) and have been told that the cardiologist I saw did mark urgent on my referral so I thought I was doing well to be where I am .

Not been good in the last week ,, my attacks seem to be coming more often and more intense waking me from sleep and rendering me useless, Today I phoned Dr Hayat secretary and put my name forward for a cancellation, she managed to get me in a week earlier 26th January with the promise of a earlier date if one arises.
