I am due to have a punch biopsy on a skin lesion. Does anyone know if I should stop taking my daily dose of Rivaroxiban. Thanks.

I had a a small lesion on my face r emoved by my GP...I am on Apixaban....with local anaesthetic. Sounds much the same level of invasiveness to me. But if you are seriously worried you must ask your GP. or check with the hospital. I never gave it a thought ..and my GP never mentioned it.

I didn't think I would stop as mine is a tiny lesion & you didn't have a problem. Thanks

I was told either do nothing different or stop Rivaroxiban for one dose. You can also ask your provider about firm pressure, elevation, ice, etc., any of the things one would normally do to decrease blood flow.
