I take Metoprolol daily along with my Flecainide, but only a quarter of a 25mg tablet morning and night. I have to take great care with Metoprolol as once in hospital it took my BP and pulse down dangerously low and I collapsed. However, I think it's just me that's affected that way as the doctors were shocked at the effect. Many years ago I took Metoprolol, just half a tablet as needed and it was the only drug that I absolutely knew would bring a halt my tachycardia. My GP once commented, 'I don't know why they made that tablet so strong'. Just be aware.
