Just visited my EP after waiting 9 months for a DVT and PE clot to clear. Although the DVT clot hasn't totally dissolved he is confident to go ahead with a CV in three weeks. He is also optimistic about it being successful as there was a known cause to trigger the AF. Fingers crossed.

Hi Gazza, Its good to hear that things are moving forward for you. Let us know when you get your cardioversion date and we will all keep our fingers crossed that it's successful.

Good news Gazza. I'm booked in for mine on Tuesday. What is your trigger? I have no idea what caused mine except possibly excessive alcohol but I had no idea I was in AF.
