It would be interesting to know whether you are taking any drugs now......and what you were taking pre-ablation

Oh... thanks Trevor. Reassuring! I have just hit the post ablation three month mark and, although things have definitely improved, the heart has not quite settled yet. I guess it will just take a little longer! i like your reference to coughs and splutters...... ! In my case, it is the quiet but occasional fast pulse rate which makes me think I am in af but when I check my pulse I am not. Hoping you continue to improve!

Hope it stays that way Trev

I believe that's true! I'm 3 months after and mostly I'm NSR but Afib comes and goes a few times a week for up to 12 hours. My EP said it just might seattle down with more time. Seems like if I avoid all the well known triggers I'm good.....90% of the time.... But occasionally I'm doing great nutrition/exercise and I go into Afib for a day....... A mind of its own......

Hi Trev

I'm 9 months post ablation and doing good. I had a few bumps and very short Runs of ectopics in the first few weeks. This settled to a few ectopics and now all seems calm. I'm back swimming running and cycling. The only issues I have had are anxiety related, probably cos I was/am worried it would return. This came especially in the form of bad indigestion. It's slowly getting better though with the help of yoga and mindfulness practice. Good luck I hope this helps. By the way BodD in this forum was very helpful when needed advice!

Good on Ya Trevor. Nealy 6 weeks since No 2 for me and so far all ok. No AF incidents to report. (hope I'm not tempting fate!)

That's great news. I had mine in June and I still have flutters, but they only last a second and they are basically rare.

Great news that you are felling the benefit. I'm 12 months post PVI, have good times and down times with flutters and bumps! Thought I'd cracked a few weeks ago, when I realised I hadn't checked my piles all day , but today really tired and washed out. Still keep smiling and chin(s).

I agree.

I think it took me 4/5 months before all the ticks and bumps finally went.

10 months on it's purring away.

Maybe I should not have tempted fate and posted this..Yesterday my pulse started climbing and right now is at 120bpm .My livecor registered AF briefly last night for about 10 mins...

Hopefully just another blip but I'm at the 6 months now. Ho in next week for a 5 day monitor to be fitted.... however I don't see the EP till October (no appointment confirmed yet)

Personally I would prefer to have the monitor then see him asap afterwards. Him discussing the results 2 months later doesn't make sense as so much can change in that time..

hey ho still smiling tho and defo better than before the ablation..
